The recent economic downturn has affected every country and every industry.  Even the companies that haven’t declared bankruptcy are curbing their spending, laying off staff, cutting back on salaries, and putting pressure on employees to do more with less.  As part of the Obama administration’s stimulus package, the government will provide aid to help struggling small businesses. This aid is intended to foster growth in the small business sector of the economy, which is seen as an integral part of the economy’s overall health.

If you’ve ever opened a bottle of wine that you absolutely loved when you tasted it at that quaint little winery in Napa or at that sprawling vineyard in Burgundy, having boasted to your friends and family about it’s merits and how charming the vintner was, only to find that the taste from your bottle doesn’t quite match your memory, it may not just be a matter of exaggerated expectations. Using Creole Mustard

Any chef knows that it is as important to follow a recipe as it is to be able to change it to taste.  An easy way to add a little kick to your normal method of preparing a meal is to substitute your common mustard with Creole mustard. Creole mustard is a wholegrain variety of mustard that is slightly crushed to release a hot flavor from the grains.  It is thick and spicy with a coarse texture, and can be used to cook a wide variety of dishes.

Our Coffee Culture

Growing up, many of us were too familiar with the smell of coffee in the morning and a steaming mug of it forever dangling from a grown-up’s hand. We didn’t know why coffee was so popular, but couldn’t wait till the day when we too would get to hold our own glorious mugs of the stuff. It might not taste good to us now, but soon we would be hooked.
