Changing the Face of War

Peace. Everyone wants it, but it’s so hard to come by. Generations upon generations of humans constantly finding reasons to fight and kill each other, made all the easier with the advent of advanced weapon technology. Guns, missiles, bombs, IEDs, suicide attackers, biological weapons and more. Targeting civilians and military alike, these weapons spit in the face of the straight forward nature of hand-to-hand combat between armies on agreed-upon battle grounds. No, these days, war knows no boundaries, abides by little to no rules. How do we cope with the reality and possibility for war everywhere we go? How do we live as a world who prefers peace, but tends towards war? The hunger for good pasta does not subside due to insufficient funds. The need to slurp up sauce-drenched noodles is an unstoppable force that can only be silenced with a heaping pile of linguine. Or fettuccini. With less money to eat out these days, it is still possible to cure your noodle lust. Making pasta at home can be a cost effective way to enjoy Italian cuisine with the whole family. The recent economic downturn has affected every country and every industry.  Even the companies that haven’t declared bankruptcy are curbing their spending, laying off staff, cutting back on salaries, and putting pressure on employees to do more with less.  As part of the Obama administration’s stimulus package, the government will provide aid to help struggling small businesses. This aid is intended to foster growth in the small business sector of the economy, which is seen as an integral part of the economy’s overall health.
